We are located in and around the Toledo, Ohio area.  We  primarily adopt to families that live in or near the Toledo area, including Michigan. Only under "special" circumstances will we consider other out of state adoptions.

Gunner is a one year old black lab.  Gunner is a very lucky and happy boy to get out of the situation he was in.  Gunner's sister was a small dog who had a run in with a big mean dog and lost her eye.    Gunner is a happy go lucky guy who has spent most of his time tied out outside.  One night his owner, on a drunken spree, thought it would be funny to poor bleach all over Gunner.  Lucky for these two dogs that a couple of caring Humane Officers rescued them from this terrible owner.

Meet Bella!!!!!!! Bella is a fun, sweet, active, loyal pooch. She was rescued on her last day in a high-kill GA facility.  She is absolutely beautiful and aims to please. Sadly, we have found that Bella must have been abused or in a home where domestic violence occurred. She is untrusting of men and will immediately attach herself to the women and children of the house. The man of the house can pet her but she does not prefer him. Bella is a dog that you know you could leave your children in the yard and nothing will happen to them. She is very loyal and feels it is her job to protect her family. Since she feels the need to take charge she will need an assertive owner who is able to assist her balance her instincts but yet not allow her to take the leadership role. Bella loves other dogs once she gets to know them, she would not be suited for an already existing alpha dog. She gets along with cats but thinks it is a game when they run. Older children would probably be best since she is pretty rough and tumble when she plays. She is crate trained, house trained and knows, sit, shake and stand.  Bella has so much love to offer a family and has traveled a long way to find the right family, she has become her foster mom’s ALL time favorite foster dog.

Roxie is a two year Doberman\Husky mix.  She is a great dog, loves people, other dogs and loves to be outdoors.  She is playful and full of energy.  Roxie would not do well in a house with cats...she likes them too much and expects them to play with her.  Roxie knows basic commands like "sit", "down" and "shake".  She is very gentle with treats and will "wait" for the treat before taking it from your hand.  Roxie spend a lot of time outdoors in her previous home and little time inside. She has been in her foster home a short time but appears to be housebroken.  She enjoys going for walks and is working on better leash manners (she loves to see other dogs).  Roxie will require a tall fence because she will try to jump if she sees a bird or squirrel.  Roxie would make a great family dog and would love to meet you!

He had a very hard beginning but has blossomed into a beautiful loving dog.  He is totally house broke and gets along with other dogs and cats. He absolutely loves to go for walks and gets so excited when he thinks its time. He has a very laid back personality.  He loves to give kisses.
 
Buddy has some problems with his hips, he is on Glucosamine and when they occasionally bother him he is given a non-steroidal medication. His hip problems don't stop him from enjoying his walks. He has lots of love to give to someone who will give him his forever home.

-She is very active
-She loves to play with other dogs although she does bark and talk alot at first.

Bianca is a year 1/2 old retriever/spitz mix, she is a real beauty!  A true diva in the making!  Bianca is very playful when she settles in her new environment.  She does well with children and adults. She "turns upside down" when she gets some lovin', with is very frequently!  She is housebroken, and quiet in the yard (and at night).  She does not like to be left outside by herself for too long or she will get into some mischief.  Bianca will definetly require a fenced yard because she will run, just for the love of it.  Any joggers out there??  She does well on leash, and loves walks.  She knows "sit", but needs some work on jumping up.  She gets along well with the 2 other female dogs in the house now and loves to play.  Bianca does have quite a bit of energy--she'd love an active family!  Bianca will do ok in a crate with some coaxing, but she can't be left for real long periods of time...it upsets her.  She if for sure a people dog!  BIanca will need regular brushing to keep her beautiful coat shiny and cut down on the shedding. Please consider this 4 star beauty, she's a doll!

Meet Domino!  Domino is an 8 month old Terrier/boxer/dane mix.  Domino has had a little rough start at life.  His owner could no longer care for him.  A friend of his took Domino, but in his care Domino suffered a severe injury to his leg.  His friend could not afford to treat Domino and the good Samaritans at Sylvania vet wanted to help Domino and contacted 4 Paws Sake.  Domino had his left rear leg amputated.  You would never know it with this little guy.  He is a trooper.  Two days later he was up running around and playing.  He had his surgery 6 weeks ago and is completely heeled and he is waiting for his new home.

Eddie is a 2 year old greyhound mix.  he enjoys running, cuddling anywhere, attention and more running.  Eddie is a wonderful dog who would be happy just being in your arms especially after a good run.  Eddie, was raised with cats, kids/babies and other dogs.  Eddie can jump a 4 foot fence without a problem.  So at least a 6 ft fence is recommended.  Because he does love to run being tied up is not recommended.  Eddie also chews things when bored.  If you keep plenty of chew toys around your furniture is safe.  Eddie is a ladies man through and through.  I you will give him your attention, he will give you his love forever and of course keep your lap warm.  There is just no way to tell him he is too big to be a lap dog.

Sadie is a 5 year old Beagle/Border Collie.  She is super sweet, housebroken, crate trained and gets along with other dogs.    She would make an excellent companion for a single person or couple.  We would not recommend a home with small children under 12 because of her herding instinct.  Sadie loves beef treats that are soft and Newman’s chicken and oats treats.  She does not like bones or playing with toys.  Sadie does not need to be crated, she rides well in the car.  No chewing, walks well on a leash.  Has about a 3 energy level out of 5.  Requires low maintenance and knows no, sit, down and come!

 Hello all I'm Nathan a 10 week old lab mix . I'm a happy pup that loves to cuddle and kiss every chance I get .My foster mommy would tell you, I'm very well behaved and I don't get into stuff. I potty outside and also do well in my crate .I love all other dogs and cats too, and kids are just the coolest because they love to play and cuddle with me . A fence would be nice but I would do fine without one too . I am pretty much potty trained you would just have to let me out every 3 hrs or so, and within an hour of me eating please let me go outside and recycle . Gi-Gi is a two year old dachund that came from a puppy mill, very sweet, 99% house broken, can walk on a leash and she know show to go up the steps but hasn't mastered going down yet.  She will go out-side to potty ,she will do the chase game unless you tell her to stay.  Doxie's are known for playing chase and catch me if you can.   She will need a special family to love her and work with her a little bite and you'll get loved by her forever.  Please give her a forever home.
